One of our favorites is Wardley mapping, which applies the notion of maps, as a way to plan and guide you to your intended destination very literally indeed. Simon Wardley, in his eBook, points out that most business mapping techniques we are sold are not maps at all. Over the years, seemingly as a result of being bombarded by business process hype, the term map has been watered down to the point that it has very little meaning at all.
